This image has an interesting point of view, as it was taken from a low angle, adding a dramatic tone to the already symbolic rose. The way it was taken also makes the sunlight give the subject a halo, causing it to appear very ethereal. ~Charlotte Chapin
This image has a interesting point of view. Your focus on the guitarist but your eye follows the light. Its looking up at the guitar player instead of directly at it. The artist was creative in including the light sorce and the way his arms, the microphone, and the guitar are all pointing towards the light.- Lauren
this image is very interestin. while you usually focus on the performer. the beam of light captures the corner of your eye. the picture portrays a sense of calm an excitement an really stands out to the individual looking at the work of art.

This image uses a very unique point of view. The photographer was at an level with flower, and has one focal point, which is the flower nearest to the camera and in focus, and has an unfocused background. The flowers appear much bigger then they actually. The author was trying to communicate the importance of seeing things from eye level and looking at something from a every possible perspective.
This picture is interesting because of the way it distorts the true size of the flowers and focuses in on one specific flower despite the fact there are several in the picture.

This image uses point of view to elongate and emphasize the height of the Empire State Building. By taking the photograph from the ground looking up towards the top, the building looks much bigger than it actually is. Also, it puts a nice spin on the name "skyscraper." The artist was trying to communicate the most noticeable quality of the Empire State Building, its height.
this picture displays good dark and light lighting. the view and angle of the picture displays the exact look of the empire state buliding. the dark colors also bring out every detail of the building as well.
-randy k
This image uses a deliberate point of view by taking the photo at the base of the buildings. The photographer seems to be trying to communicate the huge size of the buildings and perhaps exaggerate the height by using his point of view technique. He also seems to be trying to illustrate the abstractness of the structures that he has photographed. His point of view helps get that message across.
-Aaron Cram
The diversity of the shapes that create the building make this picture quite abstract and exciting. ALso the artist uses the walls of the other structure, the dark grey one, to outline the main building, the white one.

This photo makes an already interesting and complex building into an abstract and stunning piece of art. By taking the photo at such an odd angle caused all of the surrounding buildings to become one and made a truly interesting photo. -Hunter
This photo uses point of view to exaggerate the size of these three dominos to make them look larger than they actually are. By putting the camera on the ground very close to the dominos it makes it look like the dominos are large but in reality they are just normal dominos. The author was trying to communicate that even such a small object as something that is larger than life. -Hunter Doolity Mackenzie Garrity - I think Hunter's picture is an excellent example of point of view. By viewing the dominos from their level, it appears as if they are huge. Also, it is an excellent composition with nice colors and a clear focal point.
I love Hunter's photo- even beyond the cool point of view, the colors really pop. They've been oversaturated but it looks great. ~Charlotte Chapin

This photograph was taken by an Italian artist, Paolo Jeran. The photo was taken from ground level, aiming upwards at the top of this building. Two different sides of the building are exposed, and there is a nice contrast between the extremely illuminated left side, and the somewhat shadowy right side. The point of view the photographer used elongates the building, and the wires that are attached to the building add a lot of visual interest to the composition as a whole, and break up the rest of the image. Connor's picture is a great example of point of view, it makes it look like the building and the pole are literally growing out of the ground. As well as the contrast of the photo makes it a beautiful photo.

In this picture, the photographer was giving the veiwer a new take on something overlooked daily by the average person. This photograph is of a normal city, the buildings no different than what would be seen walking through New York or Boston. The photographer was trying to communicate a sense of looking at everyday sightings a little bit differently. Pictures can be taken from a birds’ eye veiw, from a worms’ eye weiw, from the left, the right, through something or diagonally. This photograph, however was taken from a semi- birds’ eye veiw. The camera, most likely on an airplane or helicopter, was perched just above the city, yet not as far down as to skim the tops of the sky- scrapers or industrial buildings. By seeing the city from a different veiw, the veiwer receives a new take on what the city may be like. Everything seems to be different, and more noticeable than it had appeared to be before. Taking a picture from a deliberate point of veiw allows the photographer to highlight certain attributes to the object, drawing the veiwers eye to the desired object or motion in the photograph. More light may be exposed when changing the point of veiw of a normal photographed object. The light being exposed will have created a higher contrast in the photo, and will draw in the attention of the veiwer even more when examining the photo on a higher level. Therefore, a deliberate point of veiw of a certain object will allow the photographer to highlight certain attributes of the desired object.
This photo is a unique example of point of veiw. It is take from right underneath the bike seat making the bike look larger then it actually is as well as making it the major subject of the photo. Normally if a person thinks about a picture of someone riding a bike they think of a side view or the point of view from the biker themselves, instead this picture displays the point of view of the bike itself. The artist was trying to communicate that everyday items and tools have their own point of view and every now and then we should take the time to see them.
-Sean Lively Mackenzie Garrity - Sean's picture has a very unique point of view. The photographer made a decision to show the point of view of the bicycle seat and in doing so created an interesting photograph.

This photo is a good example of point of view. In contrast to regular photography, this photo was taken at ground level which elongates the street and makes the people seem much bigger than they really are in comparison to the birds. Also, the nearby people have been blurred out by the artist to show movement, making the birds sharp and still objects; the focus of the picture.
I think this picture is good example of a different kind of point of view because out of all the busy things happening on the street the photographer is focusing on the birds walking on the ground under all the people and cars. --- Meggie Yancich
Courtney Fraser:
This photo of the frog is a clear, deliberate point of view. The photographer took the photo at an angle so the leaves were in the background too in order to emphasize the frog. The frog is very vivid, as some of the leaves are also burry in the background, but it is close enough up so you can see the intricate details of the dew on the leaves and frog. The blues in the frog also contracts with the green of the leaves, making him stand out further.
I think that this is a very good example of a different kind of point of view because it really focuses on the color of the frog and how both the colors green and blue both pop out of the picture. ---Meggie Yancich
This photo is taken from an interesting point of view, especially because it is an famous monument. When people picture the Eiffel tower they picture the entire tower standing straight up. This photo is taken from a cool point of view which captures the tower in a different way. It also helps to capture the scenary where the tower is. It includes the calmness of the trees and the post brings it back into the busy city. http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/00/12/ef/d4/cool-bw-shot.jpg
~Lilly Beardsley I really like the picture Lilly choose to use. The point of view of the Eiffel Tower is one I have never seen before. This picture uses a deliberate point of view to show how the people sitting are kind of revolving around the bride and groom. Also, the bride adn groom are the main focal point even though they are off in the distance and the rose petals really add to the entire composition.

I really liked how the photographer made a simple photo into a distorted and interesting photograph. The distortion allows the viewer to focus on the bride and groom just like all of the other people in the photo are focused on them as well. -Hunter
Many pictures are taken of piers normally the top of them but this one shows it from below. The angle elongates the pier and shows the light coming in creating contrast in the water. The photographer was trying to capture the contrast of the light and a sense that there is more to the pier than what you see on the outside.
~Amanda Borosavage The picture Amanda choose really displays point of view very well. The underside of the pier is something many people have never seen before. I think the lighting in this picture looks amazing and makes the underside of the pier usually not considered art look like a work of art. Sara Reiling
I really love the photo Amanda chose because the end of the pier is cleary the focal point, but from the point of view it accentuates the length of the whole pier. -Courtney Fraser

The photographer of this beautiful photo was trying to communicate thru this worm’s eye point of view of this pine tree that the tree is extremely intricate, and has many branches that make it appear to have a star-like figure. The photographer wanted to show how massive and domineering the pine tree is appearing as it towers over the photographer taking the picture, while the tree is standing strong with a thick and sturdy trunk. The pine tree appears to continue growing upward for miles from this point of view chosen by the photographer, whereas from a different perspective or point of view such as a bird’s eye view, the tree would seem miniscule. The light that pokes through the branches of the pine tree illuminates the pine needles without over exposing the picture or overpowering the branches and shadows created by them. This essence of light would not have been able to have been captured so beautifully from a different point of view. The featured point of view focuses on the trunk of the tree which is generally hidden by the overwhelming branches and pine needles of the tree. The view exposes the physically powerful trunk to the photographer and the people who see the photo as they have never seen a trunk before. The picture forces all who see it to identify the trunk as the focal point and as a visually appealing aspect of the pine tree. In conclusion, the point of view in this photo really makes the image special as it focuses on the trunk, an aspect of the tree that is usually hidden to the world. http://kids-myshot.nationalgeographic.com/photos/view/1049/kelly-tree-shot-by-blue-dream
Annette Curbow http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6304595
This image has a very intersting point of view. The angle at wich the photo wat taken distores the staircase, making it difficult to determine what the image is at first glance. Also, the way that the stair case circles around the edge of the photograph into the center allows our eye to easily follow the movement of the image. It also makes the focal point, the table in the center, easy to pick out.
I love the image that Sean Lively chose. The focal point of this image takes something that we see every day and distortes it into an image that is hard to recognize. The elongation of the bycicle is the perfect example of how when we look at something differently, it can transform into something so new.
Lilly's image of the Eiffel tower is a great example of deliberate point of view. The Eiffel Tower is something that everyone can regognize upon a seconds glance. However when seen from a different vantage point it becomes a new structure and we notice aspects that we've never seen before.
Emily Cain- Period 1:
This picture provides an interesting point of view and perspective on a landmark that is widely known around the world. In general, most pictures of The Statue of Liberty provide you with a view of the entire statue but this photograph shows you the up close detail of the statue. In every part of the picture, there is something new for your eye to notice. The veiwer of this photograph will see how detailed the face, hair, and clothing of the statue are, where as in typical photos of this landmark you see the entire body and not the small details which add clarity to the piece. In this photo you see something you have known your entire life and notice something new about it that you have never caught onto before by just look briefly at it.
I think that the photo of the winding staircase that Annette Curbow choose to include is a great picture. It shows something in a way that people never think about. This photo is different because it makes it seem as though the staircase is curving more than it really is. This is also and interesting picture because the stairrcase winds around the table in the center of the room drawing attention to it.
Lilly Beardsley's picture of the Eiffel Tower was especially eyecatching because of the angle it was taken from. The way the photographer positioned the camera was interesting because your eye tends to follow the tower up from one corner of the picture to the other. I also like how the bottom of the tower looks so large in comparison to near the top of the tower. It looks like the picture has been warped even though it hasnt been.
This image was taken from a very deliberate point of view. By having the girl lie down next to the puddle in which the sky is reflected, the photographer creates a clever illusion. She appears to be lying on a cloud in the sky, even though she is actually lying on wet pavement. This photo causes viewers to look at the world from a new perspective. By taking the photo from this specific angle, the photographer distorts reality and creates a visually interesting composition.
I like Lilly Beardsley’s image of the Eiffel Tower because it forces viewers to look at a common landmark from a new perspective. Rather than the typical image of Paris’s skyline with the entire Eiffel Tower as the center of interest, this photo is taken from a unique angle near the bottom of the tower. Because only part of it is visible, the viewer focuses on the smaller details of the structure, and also sees the trees and environment surrounding the base of the tower. I also like Sean Lively’s image of a bike. By taking the image from underneath the bike seat, the photographer shows an area of the bike which riders do not get the chance to look from. This unique perspective distorts the size of the bike and the person’s legs, adding visual interest to the entire piece.
-Tori Brown I like tori's because it almost looks as if the girl is above the sky. This makes do a double take and take a long look at the photo which keeps the audience interested. ~Lilly I really enjoy Tori's picture, thi picture immedietly attracts anyones attention because this girl looks like she is floating in the sky. The sky being so vivedly represented in the water as the women lies on the ground makes this a perfect example of point of view and how it can be skewed.

This photo by Brent Townshend shows some palm trees at Stanford looking up. The photo is distorted and elongates the palm trees. This affect adds visual interest and draws the eye towards the focal point or the center of the photo. Where the buildings and trees would normally have rigid lines and straight edges, in the photo they are rounded because of the point of view of the image. The photographer makes the image rounded, when it would normally be the opposite. If you look to the right and left sides of the photo you will see the depth. The buildings at the end appear tiny and far away when in reality they are much larger and closer. The pattern of the trees also creates an interesting design in the sky. It breaks up the light color of the sky with the dark leaves. Overall, the point of view and design show a unique view of a typical and structured setting.
I really liked Hunter Doolity's photo because it shows a simple game from a new point of view. The bright colors of the dots also add an interesting design to the somewhat blurred background. Because the photo was taken up close, it makes the dominoes appear larger than they normally do. The photo is appealing to the eye and adds a unique perspective.
I also liked the photo that Annette chose. I think the top view of the stairs is very unique and adds an interesting design as the stairs curve downwards. The pattern on the railing also adds a cool patter where it is normally plain white walls and floor. The simple table in the middle also adds an interesting design and breaks up the simple white floor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This photo by Kim Burgaard has a very different perspective of the street that most people don’t usually see. She laid flat on the ground and then took the picture and the perspective makes road look longer than it actually is. Also, the rails in the road lead to the car at the end of the street and makes the rail look as if they disappear. The rails also give the photo depth, and a focal point. -Nick Robinson
This photo has a clear point of view, the photographer focussed the camera on the lady bug. The lady bug is the main focus of the photograph and is sort of distorted in how large it appears when in reality it is so small. the photographers point of view was to enlarge and show the details of the small lady bug, on a leaf that then appears much larger than it probably is. The red lady bug is the focal point of the photo. -Kelly Lange
I like the photo Sean used to show point of view. The photo has a clear point of view from the bikers seat, and it is a different and moe interesting perspective than simply taking the picture from the bikers line of vision.
I also liked Annettes photo of the staircase. I agree that at first glance you cant tell exactly what it is, it catches your eye, and creates visual interest because of its warped point of view.
This photo shows the use of point of view. Specifically it demonstrates the worms eye view because it is taken from the ground looking up at the subject. The picture is also interesting because it seems as if he is standing on a clear platform or surface that allows for the camera to be placed underneath it. The light from the sun in the top right corner also creates interesting shadows on the man.
Yours truly David I like this photo because it is from an interesting point of view. It looks as if the guy is standing directly on you. This engages us and is peculiar because it makes you wonder how the photo was taken. ~Lilly
Dave - Great photo!! I really like the deliberate unique point of view and I love the black and white contrast and how the sun and sky are incorporated into the photo. ;0 John Pendergast
this is an example of a point of a view because it is an interesting angle. the photographer was trying to capture the shadows around the eye and the brightness of the blue in the eyes. it is more interesting to look at then a normal straight angle of an eye.
Paul Adams
The point of view of this picture is from a downwards angle. the main focus is on the banner but the staduim is also potrayed behind the banner. The point of the picture is to show off fenway park, and show the culture of the redsox. I really like the banner in this picture and how it is at a downwards angle. You can tell it is clearly the focal point. - John Pendergast
I like the ladybug picture becasue u can see the unique feqatures of the lady bug. I also like how the focus is mainly on the ladybug.
Also, i like the plam trees picture. The shape is unique and the arches bring out the quality of the photo.
This picture has a range of objects in its compostition, although it has one focal point. The focal point is very detailed because all the other thumbtacks are placed away from the main focal point. The main tack is also very colorful, whereas as you get father to the edges of the compostion, it turns to black and white.
I like Paul's picture because it is from a different angels and shows things different in the background of the photograph. CARLY DONOVAN :o
in this specific picture there is a monkey with his face painted and he is holding up a baby lion (simba) The focal point is very clear to me that it is simba being held up. The picture really just focuses on the lion and the monkey the backround is mostly blured out grass and part of a log that they are standing on. also due to the lion being the main focal point was also interesting because he is yellow and yellow really stands out with helps distinguish really what the main focal point is.
I really find pauls picture intriging. I like that whoever took the picture really focused on the main picture being the thumbtacks. it really just brings out the entire composition. welldone
Taken by me cierra ippoliti.
The point of view in this photo is the inside of the flower pot. Getting its fine lines in the range of leafs and also showing the detail of wear the light hits.
I love chrissy's photo it has a very deliberate point of view. By having the girl lie down next to the puddle in which the sky is reflected wich creates a imaginible illusion.
I also like the thumb tack one because it has a range of objects in its compostition and the focal point is very detailed in bright colors and also how as you get father to the edges of the compostion, turns to black and white.

The point of view in this photo is very unique. Instead of taking this photo from a spectators view, the photographer of this photo used a very interesting point of view from ground level. The photographer wanted to include all the important aspects of this sumo fight by incorporating the wrestlers, the crowd and the official. You can tell that the focal point is the two wrestlers. This Photo also has a great black and white contrast as the wrestlers are very light compared to the darker background.
The photographer uses a unique point of view to create a chaotic feel. The photographer is looking straight up at the building to make it look larger and more daunting. The camera is also tilted to create an oblique angle. The curves and lines of the building to the right create beautiful flowing subject matter. The clouds also create great contrast with the buildings.
This image has an interesting point of view, as it was taken from a low angle, adding a dramatic tone to the already symbolic rose. The way it was taken also makes the sunlight give the subject a halo, causing it to appear very ethereal. ~Charlotte Chapin

This particular photographer was trying to get the focus on the cup. the camera was shot from the tip of the cup to show the entire inside. Also, he/she tried to communicate the background of the computer. The computer is all fuzzy and shady because the shape of the glass makes it that way from far away. By Meggie Yancich

In conclusion, the point of view in this photo really makes the image special as it focuses on the trunk, an aspect of the tree that is usually hidden to the world. http://kids-myshot.nationalgeographic.com/photos/view/1049/kelly-tree-shot-by-blue-dream

-Tori Brown
I like tori's because it almost looks as if the girl is above the sky. This makes do a double take and take a long look at the photo which keeps the audience interested.
~Lilly
I really enjoy Tori's picture, thi picture immedietly attracts anyones attention because this girl looks like she is floating in the sky.
The sky being so vivedly represented in the water as the women lies on the ground makes this a perfect example of point of view and
how it can be skewed.

Yours truly David
I like this photo because it is from an interesting point of view. It looks as if the guy is standing directly on you. This engages us and is peculiar because it makes you wonder how the photo was taken.
~Lilly
Dave - Great photo!! I really like the deliberate unique point of view and I love the black and white contrast and how the sun and sky are incorporated into the photo. ;0

this is an example of a point of a view because it is an interesting angle. the photographer was trying to capture the shadows around the eye and the brightness of the blue in the eyes. it is more interesting to look at then a normal straight angle of an eye.
I like Paul's picture because it is from a different angels and shows things different in the background of the photograph.
in this specific picture there is a monkey with his face painted and he is holding up a baby lion (simba) The focal point is very clear to me that it is simba being held up.
John Pendergast
